Opinion&Voice is a new campaign by the award winning activist and community leader Becky Rich. Becky is ambassador and spokesperson for DanceSyndrome, and her passion is building an inclusive and supportive community that we can all be proud off.
Becky has the pleasure and privilege to work with many different people from lots of different communities, and she is dedicated to the idea that every person should be able to express themselves and connect with the world around us. Most especially she has noticed that people with learning disabilities have often been ignored, shut away, and not been given a say about their own lives and identities.
Voice&Opinion will take a snapshot into the lives of 10 people from our DanceSyndrome family. These short films will give creative control to the participants and support them to tell their story their way, focusing in on their individual passions, achievements, and dreams. At the end of our project, these 10 vignettes will form a feature film.
This project is a labour of love. We can’t wait for these stories to be told by mainstream media, so we decided to tell our own story. Please follow us on this journey, support Becky and DanceSyndrome.
